Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian, DVM to join our team at VCA Canada Beaches Animal Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our support staff, and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and surgical care to patients, including diagnostic and treatment planning
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication and surgical procedures
  • Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information about patient care and treatment options
  • Collaborate with our support staff to ensure seamless patient care and a positive client experience
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine

Requirements

  • Valid full veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
  • Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice
  • Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, clients, and community
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
  • Interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues
