Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Uptown Montessori School Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Facilities Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Work Setting: School or educational institution/establishment.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week.

Language: English.
