Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2791787 Ontario INC. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely information to management.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with key performance indicators and recommendations for improvement.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, coffee shop.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, ensure quality control, address customer complaints, maintain records, prepare and submit reports.
- Supervision: 5-10 people, food service counter attendants, food preparers.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
- Government Programs: Recognized employer.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
