Location: Sheridan College
Sheridan College is seeking a transformative leader for the SPARK initiative, the Sheridan Centre for Academic Excellence. Reporting directly to the Vice Provost of Academic Excellence and Transformative Learning, the Vice Provost for Academic Quality and Teaching Innovation will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring alignment between the College's vision and the objectives of SPARK.
The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and oversee quality academic resources and support systems that enhance the educational experience within Sheridan's teaching and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to standards and regulations regarding quality assurance in program and curriculum development and serve as a consulting resource for other faculties.
- Support Faculty Deans and Associate Deans in their professional development and preparation efforts.
- Provide leadership in e-learning, digital technologies, faculty development, and program innovation.
The incumbent will also cultivate partnerships with external organizations, including government agencies, professional associations, and other educational institutions, to advocate for SPARK and enhance its visibility.
The Vice Provost will be a thought leader, driving change and innovation in teaching and learning by exploring new ideas and best practices, and implementing services that respond to both academic and industry needs. In alignment with Sheridan's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, this role will focus on developing innovative resources to support a diverse learner community.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant field and have extensive experience in academic leadership, particularly in teaching and learning, curriculum design, and quality assurance. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to synthesize information and develop a clear strategy that fosters creativity and innovation in teaching and learning at Sheridan.
