About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at JASKARAN GILL DRYWALL INC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply multiple coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry to achieve a professional finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling to access and work on drywall
  • Handling heavy loads and materials to complete tasks
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a large workload
  • Requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks
Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots to ensure a safe working environment
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
  • Judgement and reliability to meet project deadlines and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture
Experience and Education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 35 to 44 hours per week
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication
