The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Designer with a focus on healthcare to join our Vancouver office. You will play a key role in exciting projects across diverse building types, including commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, hospitality, public buildings, and healthcare.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide design leadership on various projects, overseeing the entire design process or acting as a technical expert on specialized areas.
  • Mentor and guide intermediate and junior staff, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their program and budget requirements, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Lead the design process from concept generation to presentation material and required submission documentation.
  • Implement design standards and guidelines, maintaining a high level of quality throughout projects.
  • Coordinate with technical and contract administration staff to produce comprehensive design development and contract documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and client presentations, effectively communicating design concepts and addressing client needs.
  • Work closely with authorities having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with building codes and bylaws.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program, coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in healthcare projects.
  • Registration with a provincial regulatory board is an asset.
  • Strong design skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software.
