The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is a dynamic Catholic school board committed to delivering quality educational programs and services from a Catholic faith perspective. With approximately 73,000 students enrolled in 151 schools throughout the GTA municipalities of Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville, the Board employs around 8,000 faculty and staff to support its Catholic educational mission.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing administrative, technical, reference, and clerical services to support the library function in assigned elementary schools. The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality and work under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the library function in assigned elementary schools
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Work under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate
  • Support the delivery of quality educational programs and services
Requirements
  • Two-year Diploma in Library and Information Technology from a recognized college/university
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in the use of Board-provided computer-based technologies
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Subject Headings, Dewey Decimal System, Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Sears List of Subject Headings, and MARC bibliographic and authorities format
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
