Position OverviewDuffy Construction Ltd is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This permanent position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Work Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week
- Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
- Outdoor settings
- Exposure to dusty and noisy conditions
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify faults and malfunctions
- Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess repair needs
- Manage parts ordering and inventory maintenance
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components
- Document maintenance activities and keep accurate reports
- Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication
- Conduct repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments
- Verify and repair emission control systems
- Assist operators in mineral ore and metal processing tasks
- Fuel injection systems
