Position Overview

Duffy Construction Ltd is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This permanent position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Work Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week
• Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role

Work Environment

• Outdoor settings
• Exposure to dusty and noisy conditions

Primary Duties

• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify faults and malfunctions
• Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess repair needs
• Manage parts ordering and inventory maintenance
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components
• Document maintenance activities and keep accurate reports
• Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance according to manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication
• Conduct repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments
• Verify and repair emission control systems
• Assist operators in mineral ore and metal processing tasks
