Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Academic Psychiatrist to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing state-of-the-art inpatient treatment for patients with serious psychiatric disorders. As a member of our interdisciplinary mental health team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and diagnose patients with serious psychiatric disorders
- Provide inpatient treatment and care to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive clinical services
- Participate in academic activities and clinical care
- Develop and implement innovative treatment interventions
- Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team
- Commitment to participate in new methods in health improvement and care delivery
- Experience with academic psychiatry
- Publications in academic journals
