About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Bhavani Associates Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Scan Items: Effectively scan products, manage inventory, and maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers with their purchases.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure that the sales floor is free of clutter and obstacles.
  • Suggestive Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products to customers, increasing sales and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Verify Age of Customers: Ensure that customers meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of certain products, such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail sales experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
