Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial strategy and planning, financial management, financial reporting and compliance, risk management, financial leadership and team management, resource allocation, leadership and vision, strategic partnerships, and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the college's mission and goals.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the college's financial operations through the finance team, including budgeting, accounting, regulatory oversight, and financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, reporting requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through risk assessment and insurance management.
  • Financial Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance and information services teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources to support academic and administrative functions in a manner that enhances the college's overall performance.
  • Leadership and Vision: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while providing expertise and guidance on international and domestic operations projects and systems.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with other college leaders to align financial strategies with academic, administrative, and operational priorities.
  • Business Development: Provide financial and strategic direction for the business, including financial analytics for potential acquisitions and overseeing financial integration for acquisitions.
Requirements
  • Education: MBA or degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in management, preferably in medium-sized businesses, with 5+ years of experience in acquisitions/divestitures.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in financial management, strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
