At Porter Airlines, an exciting opportunity awaits for an Aircraft Engineer.
We are seeking Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with a Dash-8/Embraer E Jet Type Rating and Heavy Turboprop or other transport category aircraft Type Rating. Successful candidates will be eligible for a one-time signing bonus.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) will support Porter's fleet in a line maintenance setting.
Key Responsibilities• Diagnose issues in aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems and execute repairs according to specifications, technical documentation, and established protocols.
• Overhaul and repair aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
• Install or modify aircraft engines, mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.
• Disassemble airframes, aircraft engines, or other systems for maintenance, cleaning, and reassembly.
• Conduct and document both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Actively engage in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents; understand and promote the Company Safety Policy.
• Ensure organization and functionality of company offices and vehicles.
• Perform any tasks assigned by Maintenance Operations Control.
• Assist on the ramp as necessary.

Qualifications
• Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (M2 or E rating) is required.
• Proven technical skills with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably endorsed on DASH 8–400 and/or Embraer Regional Jets or equivalent aircraft.
• Experience with various airframe systems, including electrical, navigation, flight controls, and turbine engines.
• Ability to frequently climb, kneel, and access confined spaces.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain necessary Transport Canada security clearances and driver's airside license within 6 months of hire.
• A full unrestricted driver's license with a clean record is required.
• Successful completion of background and pre-employment screening tests.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
