As a Heavy Vehicle Operator, you will play a crucial role at our facility, responsible for the safe handling of Specified Risk Materials (SRM) and Non-SRM. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage trailer servicing and switching as required.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
  • Load and unload Specified Risk Materials (SRM) and Non-SRM.
  • Receive and process incoming materials.
  • Execute plant shutdown and cleanup procedures.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
  • Follow strict cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Be flexible with shift work based on operational needs.
  • Work overtime as necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Uphold the company’s Code of Conduct and policies.
  • Promote a positive team culture through respectful interactions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial driving or a related field.
  • Experience with hydraulic equipment is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and diagrams.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs independently.
  • Physically fit for tasks including climbing and handling heavy tools.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
