Position Title: Galley Builder

Shift Details: A shift 2200 hours, B shift 0600 hours, C shift 1400 hours

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a PART TIME (Permanent) Galley Builder to operate within our flight kitchen facilities. Reliable transportation is advantageous due to limited public transit options.

This role is represented by a labor Union and adheres to collective bargaining agreements.

The Galley Builder is tasked with assembling non-food items for flights. Each flight's setup varies based on airline requirements, and the time needed for assembly is contingent upon the flight's size, type, and available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Retrieve trolleys from the washing area once cleaned, transporting them to the galley assembly zone. Maneuver the trolley to the end of the conveyor belt and offload it onto the ground. Extract drawers from the trolley sequentially, which may include items such as plastic cups, glassware, napkins, dishware, and tea/coffee service. Stock drawers according to airline specifications and return them to the trolley. Transport completed flights to the final assembly zone. Exhibit excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), demonstrating sound judgment and composure in high-pressure environments. Possess the ability to interpret and understand specifications. Manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing conditions. Be self-driven and capable of working with minimal oversight. Thrive in a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, integrity, and mutual respect. Understand safe lifting practices, as the role involves regular heavy lifting (approximately 50lbs). Be available for shift work.

Environmental Conditions:

Exposure to varying temperature extremes and noise levels. Potential outdoor work in diverse weather conditions. Experience cold temperatures (ranging from +10 degrees Celsius to at or below 0 degrees Celsius). Encounter hot temperatures. Work with chemicals and industrial cleaning agents. Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This position is physically demanding, requiring regular standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts exceeding 8 hours.
