We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Apexcraft Constructions Ltd. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Installation: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Pipe Fitting and Joining: Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and ensure that all plumbing systems are functioning properly.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for plumbing projects, and plan and coordinate work schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Measurement and Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
- Support for Veterans: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Language of Work: English.
