Job Title: Automation Specialist

PHS Canada is seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team in a growing company.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to execute project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
  • Participate in final inspection and testing, ensuring customer acceptance and implementing software code for commercial HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems.
  • Develop custom control programs and sequence of operations for various levels of complexity, including network troubleshooting, control system troubleshooting, and repair programming.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation, recording and communicating deviations to the project team.
  • Execute system commissioning and functional testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or college degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, or Industrial Electronics.
  • Bilingualism, English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in programming Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Micro control platforms.
  • 5 years of experience with participation in automation projects from design phase to start-up in process control, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to present themselves in a professional manner with clients, other contractors, and within PHS Canada.
