Capital Markets Business Analyst

Astra North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with a deep understanding of the Capital Markets landscape, particularly in Fixed Income.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both business and technical stakeholders. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing data, and providing insights to support the development and implementation of solutions within our ION trading platform.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including user stories, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are implemented effectively.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on new or enhanced features.
- 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services industry.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Capital Markets, with a strong understanding of Fixed Income products and markets.
- Deep knowledge of ION (MMI) trading platform, including modules such as Tradeserver, Reference Data, Pricing Engine, Position Management, Risk, and Market Gateways.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both business and technical audiences.
- Familiarity with SQL and Unix environment is a plus.
