Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Professional to join our team at TEEMA Group. As an Inclusive Learning Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • IEP Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs, taking into account their strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
    • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that IEPs are aligned with student goals and objectives.
  • Instructional Support
    • Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills, adapting and modifying curriculum materials as needed to meet students' diverse needs.
    • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth, and use this information to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
    • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and goals, providing updates and insights to help them support their child's education.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in professional development sessions and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education and to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in Special Education.
    • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.
    • Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive materials.
