About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Granitek Masonry Ltd. as a Bricklayer and Construction Expert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for constructing and installing masonry units, including bricks, concrete blocks, and structural tiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay masonry units to build residential and commercial structures
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
  • Cut and trim masonry units to specification using hand and power tools
  • Lay masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in masonry construction
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35-44 hours of work per week
