About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finishing Assistant to join our team at Gill Concrete Pumping Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, such as concrete and asphalt, from trucks and equipment.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Mixing and Pouring Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assisting in Construction Tasks: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Site Maintenance: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Surface Preparation: Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
