MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operates the coach using defensive driving techniques, adheres to schedules, and makes designated stops along the assigned route.
  • Greets passengers warmly and courteously, providing information about routes, schedules, and transfer points.
  • Assists passengers with securement systems, ramps, and lifts, and announces arrivals at major locations using a microphone while driving.
  • Collects tickets through an electronic fare collection system.
  • Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure the coach is ready for operation.
  • Maintains accurate MTO Hour of Service Logs and complies with MTO Hours of Service regulations.
  • May provide charter services across Canada and the U.S.
  • Follows uniform regulations and other policies set by ONTC.
  • Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and regular attendance to contribute to the effective delivery of transportation services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Secondary School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Valid A, B, C, or D class driver's license with a Z endorsement (training provided for license upgrades)
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Commitment to Company Health and Safety policies
  • Knowledge and experience in the Motor Coach Service industry is an asset
  • Proficiency in both English and French is an asset
