Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer - Water Resources to join our team at Robinson Consultants Inc. in Ottawa or Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project engineering teams to define project scope, establish budgets and schedules, and provide technical direction and oversight.
  • Perform complex technical engineering tasks efficiently and accurately, including culvert design, surface drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and stormwater management.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior and intermediate staff, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
  • Prepare detailed project reports and manage or assist in the preparation of technical proposals.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subconsultants to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and current Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering design experience, including culvert design, surface drainage design, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience providing effective mentoring to less experienced engineers, technicians, or designers.
  • Superior client and interpersonal skills, combined with strong team and leadership abilities.
  • Highly proficient with water resources engineering principles and practices, including current processes, practices, and standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance diverse, changing, and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (bilingualism considered a strong asset).
