About this team

The team is responsible for program delivery for BI and enabling data trust across the org via data governance and associated practices. Also supporting the technical platforms behind these capabilities. As the Manager you will work with teams across the organization that leverage data, demonstrate data management and governance best practices, drive change management and also deliver business impact through quick win transformations.
A day in the life

You will be viewed as a strong technical leader with data warehouse modeling, Insight generation and Delivery skills. Your background will include a proven track record of leading and scaling teams, strong communication and collaborative skills, significant track record of product ownership, and a strong vision to build and support governance initiatives and measurement of progress.

  • Drive the Data Trust pillar by leading all initiatives around data governance and data quality
  • Establish Data Governance practice on people , process & technology pillars
  • Facilitate Data Stewardship & council meetings
  • Facilitate cross functional alignment on Data Ownership & Data sharing into cloud exchange
  • Collaborate with data governance stakeholders to oversee and ensure adoption of data governance tools
  • Develop, document, and maintain enterprise standards, guidelines and policies to ensure standardization of Data Governance and Management practices across the organization. Key areas include Data Catalog, Metadata, Data Quality, Data Access and Privacy, and Reference Data
  • Develop Metrics and KPIs to report on progress of data governance program rollout across the organization
  • Liaise with business partners to conduct effective discussions on project requirements, data specifications, priority and timeline to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
  • Manage the engineering team providing technical expertise in design, build and launch of new data models and pipelines as needed
  • Partner with analytics, project management and business leadership to implement the optimal BI solutions.
  • Define and manage to SLA's for all data processes running in production.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience related data engineering experience.

  • 5+ years experience related to data governance
  • Experience managing and building geographically distributed teams
  • Experince working with Onshore leads and vendor management experience needed.
  • Experience managing people is required.
  • Data architecting and Project management experience.
  • Track record of successfully solving various business problems and handling scalability issues for ELT/ETL platforms.
  • Experience with large scale implementations of Spark, Kafka and other modern engineering practices is preferrable
  • Experince with Infomatica is a requirement, desired SSIS Data Integration experience.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, or Unix shell scripts.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS ecosystem products.

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $131,100-$172,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
