Job Description:

The Faculty of Nursing, University of Regina, invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time, tenure-track instructor at the rank of Instructor II or III (depending on qualifications) within the Faculty of Nursing and will be based in Saskatoon. This is a teaching-focused position. The Faculty of Nursing seeks candidates with experience in nursing education and broad clinical experience that will be drawn upon to make their teaching relevant and engaging. The incumbents will directly support learners and work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders in Saskatoon and rural and remote areas of the province. Travel will be required to support student learning, community engagement, and institutional collaboration.

The start date is negotiable but typically commences on July 1.

The successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, and a demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm for teaching, including student advising. Successful candidates will be expected to use a variety of teaching modalities, including offering courses in practice education settings, labs, and seminars.

Applicants will have at least two years of recent and relevant practice experience in their specialization.

Education

- Hiring preference will be given to candidates who have completed a PhD. A minimum of one graduate degree in Nursing is required. The ability to practice as a nurse practitioner will be considered an asset. The ability to speak French, Cree, Dene or Saulteaux would be considered an asset.
