This position entails directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic while assisting with work zone setup. Strong communication and an alert presence are crucial for success in this role. Applicants should be self-motivated, possess a valid Class 5 driver's license, and be capable of performing repetitive tasks while working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in work zones
• Communicate professionally with the public and coworkers
• Monitor equipment movement and changing site conditions
• Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions
• Assist in setting up and removing work zone equipment
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with current abstract
• Strong communication skills for interacting with others
• Ability to work independently and remain focused
• Capability to stand outdoors for extended periods
• Previous traffic control experience is an asset Shape safe traffic environments and contribute to Alberta's infrastructure with Border Paving.
