The role assists with surveillance programs for noise, air quality, and occupational exposures, while contributing to corporate reporting, data management, and technical documentation. This position provides hands‑on, real‑world experience in industrial hygiene within an industrial oil and gas environment, complementing academic coursework and building practical understanding of workplace health risks. Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 pm MST on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.What you’ll doDevelop, schedule, and complete industrial hygiene monitoring to support issue‑resolution activities and initiatives involving chemical, biological, and physical hazardsAssist Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health (IHOH) team members with industrial hygiene surveillance programs, including noise, indoor air quality, environmental noise, and physical and chemical exposure monitoringSupport corporate industrial hygiene programs by working with established processes and resources, including data management, equipment management, communications, reporting, and recordkeepingCollect, validate, and enter industrial hygiene monitoring data into designated data systems and monitoring programsPrepare and generate formal and informal industrial hygiene technical reportsWho you areOur ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa) Available to begin work in May 2026Safely Drives for resultsCommunicates with impactFosters collaborationEnhances technical/professional expertiseExperience with the following systems is considered an asset: Microsoft Office, IH database system Cority IH, SharePoint, Workday and Concur.We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Education Must be enrolled in an Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health Masters Program or a related Undergraduate Science Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work termNew graduates are not eligible for student opportunities. Working ConditionsMay include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc. Safety SensitiveThis may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
