THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Project Manager at Galvion, you will act as a business leader to drive the organization to meet its objectives in time, whilst maintaining or improving margin and meeting the desired quality and user functionality. You will lead exciting, complex cross-functional teams using your understanding of Galvion's strategy, user requirements, project requirements as well as technical acumen and project management expertise. You will support internal productization projects and externally funded developmental or delivery programs.

You will need to be engaged and create deep positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The team and challenges are dynamic, flexible and fast moving; the chosen candidate must thrive in such an environment. The project manager is the glue that holds all teams together and is ultimately accountable for the project success.

The incumbent is competitive, comfortable disrupting the status quo and a "go-getter".

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

People:

1. Be enthusiastic about working on site with customers and/or supporting internal projects and senior leadership, bringing order and efficiency to critical internal initiatives.
2. Engage senior resource managers to build project teams, develop work packages, identify and mitigate risk, and build concept of operations for project execution and progress monitoring.
3. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to pursue agreed upon objectives while tracking, prioritizing and communicating top issues.
4. Serve as the interface between external customers and the internal project team.
5. Identify and engage stakeholders across Galvion. Tailor and present information to allow informed decision making both technical and programmatic.
6. Challenge the teams and the status quo.

Process:

1. Proactively manage all aspects of project planning and execution.
2. Develop and implement methods tailored to specific projects to define, monitor, and control scope, cost, schedule, and quality. Make essential outputs available where team can access them.
3. Understand, quantify, and mitigate the impacts of scope change.
4. Act as intermediary between sales and internal team.
5. Constantly assess internal workflows and processes for opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce risk.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Performance:

1. Understand internal project requirements and documentation to develop and implement a plan to ensure all deliverables are met. Follow Galvion processes.
2. Do anything and everything required for project success.
3. Track product cost and project margins.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
2. Minimum of 8 years' experience in Project Management.
3. Logical and rigorous thinker, with experience integrating new information rapidly, comprehending large amounts of information, drawing conclusions, and clearly communicating key findings preferred.
4. Intellectual flexibility, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
5. Demonstrated excellence in leading cross-functional teams and managing product development projects for manufacturing products.
6. Knowledge of MS Project online a plus.
7. Grasp of Manufacturing concepts a plus.
8. Demonstrated negotiating experience.
9. Military experience a plus.
10. Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
