Our client, a worldwide leader in healthcare solutions has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a Platform Design & Validation Specialist. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions complemented by leading edge open‑source HRIS software.
You will be responsible for the successful validation process - including design, build, validation testing, performance testing and documenting - of Server and Storage Solutions for our client’s platforms, focusing on product standardization and reducing service related costs. In this role, you will report to the Regional Health Operation Manager and will collaborate with 3rd party product management, regional IT Services teams, R&D teams and with 3rd party vendors to validate the infrastructure in a lab environment, followed by facilitating successful release of these solutions to the field, eventually assisting in field trials and implementation where required. As a PD&V Specialist, you will be the Competence Center point of contact for Server & Storage Solutions towards the Service organization, product management and consultants, thereby streamlining the support through the formal channels of validation.
You Will
- Design and develop test procedures and cases for validation, with associated test data, based upon functional and nonfunctional requirements, including performance and system sizing
- Create and execute automated and manual (where required) test procedures
- Assess and recommend server and storage platforms, with focus on UNIX (Sun Solaris, Linux) operating systems and servers (Sun, HP), based on 3rd party platform product knowledge and validation results
- Execute tests, report on test progress, and document/publish final results to our client’s document management system and portals
- Follow our client’s established test standards and practices
- As a subject matter expert, provide knowledge transfer and support as it relates to the product platform
You Must Have
- B.SC or higher degree in IT / Informatics / Engineer, or similar through experience
- UNIX Servers, based on Sun Solaris (SPARC) and HP (Intel/AMD) X86 servers (HP), Microsoft Windows products
- VMware ESX, other 3rd party virtualization products
- Databases: Oracle
- Storage platforms such as HP, EMC, IBM, etc.
- Volume management software such as Solaris Volume manager, Veritas Storage Foundation
- SAN concepts and switches (Brocade, Cisco)
- NAS / DAS and CAS products
- Designing test cases & automated testing scripts
- Executing software tests; analysis of results
These are assets – not mandatory
- 2+ years experience in IT as System and Network administration
- DICOM, HL7 and IHE domains
- PACS, RIS, LIMS experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills, in order to provide clear support to the organization with respect to storage solutions, performance testing, and hardware solution validation
- Experience in medical imaging and workflows
- Good presentation skills, willing to present solution to internal and external customers
