About the Opportunity:

The Global Operations Data Support Intern position is ideal for an individual with a passion for business analytics and problem solving in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to thrive in the dynamic environment. Manage commitments and changing priorities. Prioritize and re-assess schedules and tasks quickly and effectively.
- Experience and intermediate skills with Google workspace applications, especially Google Sheets.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, macros, VBA, Power BI).
- Experience with databases, analytic applications, and programming languages (e.g. data modeling, SQL, R, Java).
- Data quality and error resolution skills, troubleshooting formula errors and addressing inconsistencies to maintain data integrity.
- Understanding data linkage and sheets integration.
- Willingness to learn and problem solving/analytical skills.
- Ability to facilitate group discussions.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), ability to learn quickly, self-motivated and excellent analytical abilities.

Activities:

- Consolidation of raw data to create meaningful output and data visualization, including tables, graphs, and conditional formatting for trend analysis/dashboard accessibility.
- Develop, improve and run advanced analytical models. Focus on linked spreadsheets and connectivity (which dashboards to keep track of to minimize the manual work and improve workflow).
- Explore data sets to find patterns, trends and opportunities to improve business processes and strategies.
- Validate and consolidate data, perform complex analysis, and create reports/dashboards to represent data insights.
- Relate analytical findings to business impacts.
- Present analytical concepts and findings in ways that resonate with non-technical audiences (verbal and visual communication).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to draw out key facts, observations, and assumptions.

Physical Demands:

- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Start Date: May 2025

Location: Toronto, 5140 Yonge Street

Experience: No formal experience required

Education: Enrolled in 3rd year of a university internship program, with the intention to return to school after completion of the internship. Enrollment in a Computer Engineering, IT, Analytics or Applied Math program is an asset.
