About Our Client:
Our client is a leading construction company in the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) projects. Since its inception, the company has grown into one of the region's largest and most respected construction firms. They are now looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join their team and contribute to the successful execution of their ICI projects.

Job Description:
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating construction projects from start to finish.

- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and meeting minutes.

- Manage the change-order process, providing organized reports on timelines and status.

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.

- Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and external partners.

- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.

- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

- Support the preparation and submission of permits, approvals, and other regulatory documents.

- Organize and attend project meetings, ensuring that action items are documented and followed up on.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files, including drawings, contracts, and change orders.

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role, preferably in high-rise construction or development.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, timelines, and documentation.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Ontario.

- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
