We are seeking a skilled Sr. Linux Administrator with expertise in virtualization technologies, including KVM and Cloud Stack, to join our team at Simnet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our Linux-based server infrastructure.

Salary Range: 90-105K

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, including Ubuntu and Red Hat.

- Provide technical support for Linux servers, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.

- Monitor system performance and ensurereliability and availability

- Manage user accounts and permissions, including file and directory permissions.

- Implement and maintain security measures toprotect data and systems.

- Ensure Linux servers are up-to-date and secureby regularly installing security patches and updates.

- Perform backups and recovery to ensure dataintegrity.

- Automate routine tasks using scriptinglanguages.

- Participate actively in the design anddeployment of virtualization and containerization solutions, focusing onscalability and reliability for new services.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects.

- Implement and maintain security measures toprotect data and systems.

Requirements

- Experiencewith virtualization technologies, such as KVM, VMWare, Apache Cloud Stack, etc.

- Experiencewith containerization, such as Kubernetes and Docker.

- Experiencewith backup software, such as Veeam or Acronis.

- Proficiencyinscripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell

- Configuration management experience using toolssuchas Ansible or Puppet

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab

- Strongknowledge of Linux security principles and best practices.

- Strongknowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and routing.

- Excellentproblem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Mentorship- coach, guide, and provide support to junior team members.

- Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.
