Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lawn Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional lawn care services to Amico owned properties in the Windsor / Essex Region.

Key Responsibilities

- Operating lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, aerators, and blowers.
- Applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control treatments in accordance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Performing lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, seeding, aeration, and overseeding.
- Identifying lawn health issues such as weeds, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Maintaining and cleaning tools, machinery, and service vehicles regularly.
- Interacting with clients on-site, providing basic service updates and recommendations as needed.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Recording service activities, treatments applied, and site conditions.
- Assisting in snow removal, spring/fall clean-ups, and other groundskeeping tasks as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred.
- Valid G-class driver’s licence (with clean abstract).
- Ability to safely operate commercial lawn care machinery.
- Knowledge of turf management, fertilizer/pesticide application (PA certification an asset).
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Moderate to heavy physical activity, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
