Head of Information Technology

Job description

Our client based in Toronto is a full-service law firm providing representation and assistance across multiple verticals. They are currently seeking an experienced Head of IT to join their IT team.

This is a management-level position responsible for directing all IT related activities of the firm with supervisory responsibilities for all staff assigned to the IT department and management of IT vendor services. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity of computer services and systems for all users throughout the firm through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination. This role requires a higher level of strategic thinking and an ability to implement forward-looking technology solutions.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Experience working in a cloud-based end user solution

- 5+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting servers

- 5+ years of IT Management experience

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - O365, Word, Excel

- Prior experience at a law firm, a plus
