With its 10,000 students, 260 full-time professors, and wide array of programs and research centres, the Faculty of Social Sciences plays a key role at the heart of the University of Ottawa. Its graduate students are supervised by excellent researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in the Faculty's masters and Ph.D. programs. The Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR) has a mandate to provide evidence-based psychological services to the community in a safe and welcoming environment regardless of our clients’ origin, identity or family context. Its mission it also to train doctoral students from the CPA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa and the CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program in clinical psychology, and to conduct research to advance psychological science with a particular emphasis on mental health care delivery. Thus, CPSR’s mission focuses on service delivery to the community, training of clinical psychology doctoral students and interns, and research.**Position Purpose**The incumbent plays a critical role in supporting the mission of the Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR): to deliver evidence-based psychological services to the community, to serve as a premier training centre for practicum students and interns and to support clinical research. This position contributes to providing high-quality clinical care while fostering a supportive, supervised environment for emerging clinicians. Working in collaboration with faculty members, clinical supervisors and administrators, the incumbent ensures that clinical operations run efficiently, training objectives are met, and client care aligns with ethical and professional standards.In this role, your main responsibilities will include:* **Clinical service delivery:** Provides oversight of psychological services provided to individuals, couples, children and families and groups. Develops and implements clinical guidelines based on best practices and client needs. Ensures that clinical documentation is accurate and timely and in accordance with professional, ethical and clinical standards. Ensures that all services and training adhere to relevant regulatory and ethical guidelines (e.g., CPA, CPBAO, etc.).* **Clinical supervision and training oversight:** Oversees and supports the activities of registered supervisors providing direct supervision to practicum students and interns. Manages allocation of practicum students and interns according to supervision credit allocation of all clinical supervisors (full time and part-time). Ensures that clinical supervision provided by clinical supervisors meets professional, ethical and educational standards. Fosters a learning environment that models ethical, culturally responsive and evidence-based practice. Participates in trainee evaluations, case consultations and feedback process. Collaborates with regular full-time faculty members supervising students and ensures alignment with training standards and program objectives. Responsible for the management, retention, recruitment and onboarding of part-time supervisors. Reviews trainee evaluations of clinical supervisors to ensure integrity of supervision and clinical care.* **Student training and supervision:** Provides clinical supervision and support to practicum students and interns in accordance with ethical and professional standards (equivalent to 3 credits of clinical supervision). Models ethical and professional clinical practices for trainees. Offers feedback and guidance to students on assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and therapeutic techniques. Participates in clinical case discussions, training seminars, and evaluation processes for trainees.* **Business and operational management:** Oversees the day-to-day business operations of the Centre, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services within budgetary and resource constraints. Ensures sound financial management of the Centre by developing budget forecasts in alignment with priorities and planned activities. Manages operational planning, budgeting and reporting in collaboration with faculty administration. Monitors service demand, resource utilization and clinic performance to inform strategic decision-making. Ensures compliance with university policies, regulatory standards and applicable legislation. Assists in managing clinic workflows such as intake, triage and client assignments. Leads initiatives to improve service delivery, workflow and administrative processes, while aligning operations with the Centre’s clinical, training and research objectives. Serves as the Chair for the Clinical Training Committee.* **Research:** Provides oversight on the implementation of research projects of faculty members who seek to conduct studies at the Centre. Advances a research agenda for the Centre including managing the clinical research database. Ensures that research conducted at CPSR adheres to all tri-council ethical standards and verifies that all research studies at the Centre have ethical clearance from the appropriate uOttawa research ethics board.* **Supervision of staff:** Provides leadership and oversight to the administrative staff working within the Centre. Ensures that all team members are effectively supported, coordinated and aligned with the Centre’s operational and training goals. Recruits, oversees performance management, support professional development, and foster a collaborative and respectful working environment.* **Strategic planning and continuous improvement:** Leads the development and annual review of the Centre’s strategic plan, in collaboration with the academic leadership team of the School of Psychology and the Dean’s office of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Aligns clinical and training services with the evolving needs of clients and the broader community. Contributes to the development and implementation of programs and services that align with the objectives set out in the established strategic plan. Contributes to the ongoing development and evaluation of clinic programs and services. Stays current with developments in clinical psychology through continuing education and evidence-based practice. Participates in quality assurance, client satisfaction initiatives and other clinic improvement activities. Prepares an annual report on the operations of the Centre.* **Partnerships and communication:** Collaborates with clinical staff, faculty supervisors, various management committee of the School of Psychology, academic coordinators and community stakeholders to ensure the integration of clinical training and service delivery. Leads team meetings and clinic development initiatives. Maintains clear and professional communication with students, student representatives, colleagues and referring sources. Establishes strong alliances with various partners and stakeholders to implement Memoranda of Understanding for inter-agency collaborations/referral processes.* **Client relations
