POSITION SUMMARY

provides professional nursing care and coordinates the delivery of chronic pain medical treatments to assigned patients under indirect supervision. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

Patient Satisfaction

- Provides supportive care to patients and administers treatments as prescribed.
- Maintains patient relations through ongoing dialogue with patients before, during and after treatment. Identifies and response to dissatisfied patients with the appropriate recovery action.
- Assists in conducting new patient assessments, recording medical information.
- Supports effective patient flow through constant communication with the practitioner, MOA, Clinic lead and other healthcare providers.
- Establishes priorities and makes ethically sound decisions to ensure patient safety.
- Responds to emergency situations to promote optimal patient outcomes by recognizing changes in the patient's health status.
- Documents patient data to ensure continuity in the provision and coordination of patient care.
- Ensures patient medical information is up to date; assist with patient follow-up care.
- Performs nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs.
- Provides patient and family support and counseling as required, as well makes referrals.

Team Member Satisfaction

- Supports other departments by aligning individual contributions with those of the team including practitioners, physicians, and other medical and operations team members.
- Works closely with Operations to improve the quality of patient interaction, foster team relations, and enhance business results.
- Follows appropriate problem‑solving skills in response to issues resolution, conflict and/or expressions of dissatisfaction. Promotes effective communication between staff members.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Act as a mentor to Medical Office Assistants for medical‑related job tasks.

Quality Assurance

- Adheres to clinic safety protocols to include daily emergency equipment safety checks, medication counts and infection control guidelines.
- Supports clinic lead in ensuring all clinical and storage areas are clean, clutter free and that clinic staff is adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventivemaintenancerequirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting repair requirements to clinic lead; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Participate in monthly health and safety walkthroughs and site inspections ensuring compliance with all applicable medical regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Post‑Secondary Education.
CPR/First Aid certification. Current BLS required.
- Must be in good standing with the College of Nurses.
- Strong knowledge with medical procedures, equipment, and medical facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform nursing assessment and triage.
- Proficiency with medical software (Oscar) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
