Stafingo is hiring for one of our enterprise-level public-sector clients in Ontario. We are seeking a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365FO / D365SCM to support multiple ongoing initiatives across complex business and technology environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who enjoys working closely with solution architects, business units, and technical teams to design, document, and drive high-impact systems enhancements.
Role Overview
The Senior IT Systems Analyst will play a lead role in gathering requirements, developing functional and technical documentation, analyzing system issues, and supporting end-to-end solution delivery. You will act as a subject matter expert across multiple modules, ensuring systems align with business needs and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, business teams, and developers to translate business needs into clear functional, integration, and technical specifications.
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and document future-state processes.
- Create functional design documents, integration specifications, data flow diagrams, and user stories.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations for optimizing system capabilities and resolving issues.
- Work across multiple platforms, including ERP, Supply Chain, CRM, Product Information Management, and Order/Inventory Management systems.
- Support full-cycle implementations, enhancements, and upgrades within the D365 platform.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zeplin, and InVision for documentation and collaboration.
- Leverage the Data Management Framework (DMF) to manage data migrations and configurations.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional project delivery.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant in an IT environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365FO / D365SCM.
- Deep knowledge of PIM, Supply Chain, CRM, OMS/IOM, and Finance & Operations modules.
- Experience with at least one D365 F&O implementation (must be clearly highlighted on resume).
- Proficiency with DMF (Data Management Framework) in D365FO/D365SCM.
- Experience working with databases like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Relevant Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 certifications (functional or platform).
- Comfortable using Agile project tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zeplin, and InVision.
Nice to Have
- Public sector experience.
- Experience with Power Platform or eCommerce systems.
