The Schizophrenia Division is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst role to assist with clinical research projects intersecting between mental illness, obesity, and glucose dysmetabolism.

As part of the team, the Research Analyst will assist the research team on a number of research-related duties including:

1. Scheduling human subjects' interviews
2. Screening eligible research subjects
3. Administering clinical rating scales and functional assessments
4. Scoring and administering brief neurocognitive assessments
5. Conducting anthropometric measures
6. Assisting with physiological tests of glucose metabolism
7. Measurements of satiety/eating behaviours
8. Assisting in recruitment
9. Preparing and maintaining subject records
10. Data entry and database management
11. Preparing data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers
12. Scheduling and preparing for subjects' laboratory visits and other procedural visits
13. Assisting with regulatory submissions
14. Preparing budget and progress reports
15. Creating PowerPoint presentations
16. Other administrative duties as required

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in neuroscience, health science, social work, or physiology combined with one (1) year of relevant clinical or research experience with mental health and/or addiction issues. Previous experience in the administration of neuropsychological assessments and clinical rating scales is a strong asset. Experience in the field of cognition, physiology, or endocrinology is preferred. Experience with data analysis in R and SPSS is required. Proficiency with word processing, PowerPoint, and database software packages along with Endnote reference manager is required. The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and diverse stakeholders is essential. Demonstrated communication skills (both oral and written) are required as is the ability to explain complex issues in plain language. The candidate will be detail-oriented, well-organized, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision. Prior research or service experience with individuals and/or families with mental health and addiction issues are an advantage. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
