We are looking for a General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of performance, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manufacturing processes and financial management, with proven leadership and managerial experience.

If you’re hands-on, have a strong knowledge about manufacturing and have an engineering background, and know your way around a shop floor just as well as a budget sheet, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As our General Manager, you’ll be running the day-to-day operations of the business. You’ll be wearing a few hats — from leading our team and overseeing production, to keeping an eye on financials and helping shape the future of the company.

Here’s a look at what’s involved:

- Team Leadership: Lead and support our crew, build a positive shop culture, and make sure things run smoothly.
- Operations Oversight: Keep production on track, schedules realistic, and quality top-notch — all while keeping safety front and center.
- Financial Management: Work with the owners on budgets, cost control, and financial planning. You'll need to know your numbers.
- Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with our customers and make sure projects are delivered on time and up to spec.
- Problem Solving: Things come up — equipment issues, scheduling conflicts, supply delays. You'll tackle them head-on with a level head.

What We’re Looking For:

- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in a leadership role, with experience managing teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Managerial Know-How: 8+ years of overall management experience — ideally in custom fabrication, steel work, or similar industries.
- Manufacturing Background: You understand how a shop runs — from welding and fabrication to project deadlines and material flow.
- Financial Experience: You don’t need to be an accountant, but you should be comfortable working with budgets, financial reports, and cost control.
- Good People Skills: You can talk to anyone — whether it’s the shop team, a long-time client, or a supplier who’s late on a delivery.
- Down-to-Earth Leadership Style: You lead by example, pitch in when needed, and know how to keep morale up even when it gets busy.

Nice to Have (but not a deal breaker):

- Background in custom fabrication, material-handling systems, or metalwork.
- Familiarity with project-based manufacturing and job costing.
- A diploma or degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
