Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance for in-house and 3rd-party aircraft in an efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manner
- Complete job cards, documentation, and repair records accurately
- Support, coach, and mentor junior technicians and apprentices
- Follow work direction from leads and senior maintenance staff
- Contribute to a positive, safety-focused team environment
- Perform additional maintenance tasks and duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- AME-S license with minimum 2 years’ experience in aircraft sheet metal/structures
- Strong safety mindset and adherence to regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-moving, safety-sensitive environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Comfortable with physically demanding work
- Knowledge of metal properties, fabrication, and repair techniques
- Ability and willingness to mentor apprentices
- Experience with DHC aircraft (DHC-2/DHC-3/DHC-6) considered an asset
- Previous manufacturing or component fabrication experience is beneficial
- Available to work flexible hours when required
Schedule:
Compressed work week – 4 days on / 3 days off
10.5-hour shifts, typically Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (07:00–17:30)
Location:
Metro Vancouver airport area, with the ability to travel to customer hangars or partner locations as needed.
