Karis Disability Services, driven by Christian values, seeks a motivated Public Affairs Manager. This full-time role, located in Waterloo or other offices, requires strategic thinking and strong relationship management. You will work with government stakeholders and internal experts to advocate for effective policies and funding models that enhance community support and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop government relations and advocacy strategies
• Maintain relationships with politicians and public servants
• Prepare policy submissions and advocacy content
• Monitor legislative developments and provide strategic advice
• Represent Karis at crucial government meetings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3-5 years in government relations or public policy
• Knowledge of Ontario and Saskatchewan structures
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Contribute to a mission-driven organization advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities.
