Waterloo, ON | Type: Full-Time Design precision mechanical enclosures and mounting systems for industrial lighting and lens hardware used in high-speed manufacturing inspection.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design the mechanical structures and enclosures behind OdinVision’s industrial lighting and lens products — balancing thermal, optical, and manufacturability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical housings, mounts, and enclosures for machine vision hardware
- Perform thermal and structural analysis (heat sink design for LED lighting systems)
- Create 3D models and drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent)
- Work with manufacturing partners on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and tolerancing
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new hardware products Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
- Experience with sheet metal, CNC machining, or precision optical/electronic enclosures
- Understanding of thermal management is a plus
