Volunteer Handyperson

The community needs of the Town of Caledon have been the focus of Caledon Community Services (CCS) since 1971.

Mission: To help people help themselves by working creatively and responding to community needs.

CCS is a non-profit organization that provides health care and community services to the residents of Caledon. CCS supports assisted living for seniors, newcomer services, youth and employment services, specialized transportation services, food support, and referrals to community resources.

CCS is in need of a Volunteer Handyperson, who will ensure that CCS offices are well maintained and kept in a good state of repair.

Description

The Volunteer Handyperson may expect to perform general repairs in CCS offices, including but not limited to:

- Dry wall repair, minor plumbing work, minor electrical work, furniture assembly. Tasks may range from unskilled to highly skilled.
- Paint and upgrade office as needed.

Qualifications

- Confident, knowledgeable 'handy skills' (see DESCRIPTION, above), acquired through training and/or experience.
- Your schedule places you in a position to be flexible in your commitment to this role, and your overall engagement will be at least 6 MONTHS.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Minimum Age - 25.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment. Shifts are available on the following days:
