Job Summary: The Kitting Inspector is responsible for performing tasks necessary to process product returns, inspections, repackaging and quality management. The incumbent is cross trained to build, inspect, package and repackage orders from co-manufacturers and imports. The Kitting Inspector ensures orders are processed with quality and efficiency providing internal and external clients with consistent results that meet established deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure goods are inspected thoroughly to prevent flawed, unfit or short shipped items from leaving the department.
2. Prepare kitting supplies for other departments. This role will be responsible for supplying elastic.
3. Meet deadlines established by Kitting Supervisor.
4. Follow ISO standard operating procedures, tracking and reporting non-conformances.
5. Inspect goods to documented quality standards.
6. Prepare packaging, kits and communicate quality or production concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
7. Document work performed as required including flawed goods, total boxes inspected etc.
8. Complete returns according to documented procedures.
9. Assist in monthly and year end inventory counts.
10. Collaborate with other departments and individuals to resolve/prevent production or quality issues.

Education and Experience:

High School – Manufacturing/Warehouse experience preferred.

2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills.

1. Travel Requirements: No travel requirements for this position.
2. Physical Environment: 100% Plant.
3. Physical Demand: Medium Demand Category. Walking, sitting, lifting up to 50lbs regularly. Visual accuracy and focused attention to tasks.
4. Mental Effort: Moderate intensity.
