Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

FabreneInc. is a leader in the manufacturing of woven Polyolefin materials for a wide variety of building, protective, and packaging products. The North Bay, Ontario plant operates 24/7 and involves a variety of extrusion, plastic and textile processing equipment.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Lead will provide effective leadership of the Material Handling group as well as ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the warehousing functions for accurate delivery of customer orders. Position will touch on all facets of Supply Chain requirements.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises Material Handling group, and is responsible for the overall direction, co-ordination, and evaluation of the employees. Is responsible for rewarding, disciplining and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Co-ordinates shipping schedules to match production plans to ensure delivery targets are maintained on time.
- Responsible for booking all freight requirements, both incoming and outgoing, along with auditing freight charges vs quotes, and maintaining up to date freight rates and carrier information.
- Responsible for shipping accuracy.
- Required to review and document all carrier issues relating to product damage and reliability.
- Will assist the Material Planner in communicating with Customer Service, capacity planning, product development planning, trials, capital upgrades and maintenance.
- Provide backup coverage for Material Planner, including scheduling of all plant assets.
- Will assist with customer order entry and direct communication to customers' enquiries.
- Tracks and maintains inventory targets, including quarterly, monthly cycle counting, reconciliations, and auditing.
- Ensures adherence to corporate policy, SOX requirements, and ISO procedures.
- Participate in planning meetings as required.
- Responsible for housekeeping and 5s compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date shipping and receiving procedures, and audit compliance.
- Required to cover for purchasing and regularly assist with PO expediting.
- Will verify invoices and shipping documents are matched and completed daily.
- Responsible for weekly core and pallet counts and ordering on time to ensure no shortages in production.
- Responsible for the cores, core pallets, and cardboard recycling program back to the supplier, including coordinating the inspection of all returns.
- Responsible for coordinating and arranging the loading of hi-low pellet shipments.
- Generate and provide trade documents for International Export shipments to Freight Forwarder and Customer.
- Oversee returned material on Customer Complaint (CCR), handling of inventory transfer in Qantel and stage for QA assessment / sampling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- 3-5 years with inventory management, planning, and supervisory related experience in a union environment.
- Post Secondary education or equivalent. Training and/or courses related to supply chain management, logistics, or business administration would be considered advantageous.

COMPETENCIES:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS

- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Qantel, WINcc.

- Investigate Health and Safety Incidents within areas of oversight as required.
- Plan and lead quarterly safety meetings, and any training requirements as laid out by Magnera and/or external requirements.
- Proper PPE must be worn in all designated areas.
