Financial Controller Our client is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Calgary. This role demands a dynamic professional who excels in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while identifying opportunities to optimize financial performance. This is a contract role for an undefined term, but expect approximately 15-18 months. Your success will be defined by your ability to: Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASPE Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed. Provide financial insights to support Executive Management team. Prepare annual working paper file for year-end Monitor and manage cash flow Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Lead annual budgeting processes and provide ongoing financial forecasts. Mentor and supervise, fostering their professional growth. Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Your strengths include: CPA designation with 5+ years relevant experience Strong knowledge of ASPE Construction / project management experience is an asset Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and team management capabilities
