Covenant Health seeks an Assistant Head Nurse for its Labour and Delivery unit at Grey Nuns Community Hospital. This part-time role demands clinical leadership and effective nursing supervision.
In this position, you will leverage at least five years of recent Charge/AHN nursing experience while ensuring the delivery of safe and ethical patient care. Your duties will include providing clinical oversight, managing staff issues, and engaging with interdisciplinary teams. Your organizational skills and ability to work under stress will be critical in supporting patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead clinical practices in Labour and Delivery
• Supervise nursing staff and provide functional support
• Promote safety and ethical standards in care
• Resolve conflicts and manage staff communication
• Develop a supportive environment for team learning
Requirements:
• At least five years of nursing experience required
• Current certifications in Fetal Health Surveillance and Neonatal Resuscitation
• Active registration with CRNA or CRPNA necessary
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
