Clearview Public Schools Requires an Educational Assistant Clearview Public Schools invites applications for an Educational Assistant position at Stettler Elementary School. The position starts immediately and ends at the conclusion of the 2026-27 school year. The position entails supporting students in the preschool and Kindergarten programs. The position is scheduled Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. We are looking for a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and caring individual who:
- Creates a warm and welcoming environment where young children feel safe, valued, included, and excited to come to school.
- Builds positive relationships with students and supports their social, emotional, communication, physical, and early learning development through play, routines, and classroom activities.
- Provides both general classroom and individualized inclusion support, adapting assistance to meet the diverse needs of students while encouraging independence and participation with peers.
- Uses positive, patient, and developmentally appropriate strategies to support student behaviour, self-regulation, transitions, and social interactions.
- Collaborates effectively with the classroom teacher, and other members of the learning team while demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting students with complex needs and those who hold an Educational Assistant Certificate and/or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) certification, though these are not mandatory. Educational Assistants receive a competitive salary of $22.10 to $27.58 per hour. The successful candidate will work in a learning environment focused on student success.
