We are looking for a Relationship Manager - Corporate and Institutional to join our Cash Management team in Edmonton or Calgary

As a Relationship Manager - Corporate and Institutional, you will be accountable for growing, managing and maintaining the credit union's portfolio of large enterprise and not-for-profit organizations, public sector banking arrangements and wholesale deposit fundings. The portfolio consists of complex cash management arrangements and institutional investors.

The Corporate & Institutional team will help Servus grow through targeted portfolio diversification, developing new relationships in accordance with the organization's deposit funding needs and liquidity management objectives. The successful candidate will be required to provide corporate feedback on emerging trends in cash and treasury management services while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

The individual will have primary responsibility for the acquisition and development of new relationships with average depository needs in the range of $5 million and up and/or those requiring custom cash management solutions. The individual will be the lead relationship manager on these accounts.

The employee is required to have in-depth knowledge of all cash management and business payment services and associated rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a marketing plan that contributes to the credit union's deposit funding and liquidity management objectives including corporate, institutional, municipal and public sector markets.
- Establish a network of referral sources from centres of influence (COIs) including business or other associations, accountants, and lawyers.
- Contribute to the management and administration of the Public Sector Cash Management RFP process while ensuring competitive profitable pricing practices.
- Drive new member relationships that meet Servus' liquidity requirements and determine appropriate member deposit pricing.
- Work directly with the treasury department to implement competitive and profitable pricing practices when onboarding new or maintaining existing institutional members.
- Develop and implement a solutions-based approach to meet the needs of business members.
- Drive member wallet share by establishing, maintaining and growing relationships and engaging key partners.

Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of financial institution management experience.
- 5 years of relevant Commercial or Cash Management experience at a Canadian Financial Institution.
- Solid understanding of financial markets with specific emphasis on deposits and other money market instruments and foreign exchange.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to draft and pitch cash management solutions to prospective members.
- Proven ability to produce effective results working independently with limited supervision while also operating effectively as a collaborative team member.
- Ability to meet deadlines and establish priorities to manage multiple projects.

Education and Training:

- A post-secondary degree in a business discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional designation is an asset (CFA, CPA, CTP, CIM).
- Experience in commercial lending is an asset.
