The Director, Finance & Accounting is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role plays a critical part in strategic planning, decision-making, and long-term growth. Reporting to executive leadership, you will lead a high-performing finance team, manage all fiscal operations, and partner cross-functionally to drive performance, scalability, and operational excellence across a growing franchise network.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls across the company’s group of entities

- Provide timely financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and franchise development initiatives

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices

- Design, maintain, and continuously improve strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures

- Lead the annual audit process, act as the primary liaison with external auditors, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting standards

- Collaborate closely with Franchising, Operations, Store Development, People & Culture, IT, and Marketing to evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and enhance financial performance

- Drive improvements in financial systems, ERP tools, reporting capabilities, and KPIs to support organizational growth and scalability

- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and lender reporting requirements

- Oversee cash flow management and foreign exchange activities

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance team aligned with company values and culture

What You Must Have

- CPA designation (required); MBA or other advanced finance-related credential is considered an asset

- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles, ideally within QSR, franchising, or multi-unit retail environments

- Deep understanding of Canadian financial regulations, GAAP, and best-in-class financial practices

- Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, cost control initiatives, and strategic planning processes

- Strong systems expertise, including ERP platforms and financial reporting tools

- A hands‑on leadership approach that balances strategic vision with operational execution

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively at all organizational levels
