Overview: We are seeking applications for full-time Forestry Project Manager based out of our Prince George office. The ideal candidate will manage full-phase cutting permit development projects. The position will be a mix of field and office-based work and is available for immediate start. Job Responsibilities: - Managing project deliverables to clients and ensuring projects meet timelines. - Field work includes timber reconnaissance, site plan data collection, riparian assessments, visual impact assessments, species at risk assessments, and quality audits of field work components. - Office work includes developing pre-works, summarizing field data, report writing, creating site plans, completing appraisals, cutting permit submissions and other permitting as required. - Supervising field crews and coordinating field activities. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum 4 years' experience in forestry (layout, cruising, riparian, site plans or silviculture). - Willing to work both in the office and in the field. - Must be registered with the Forest Professionals of BC as an RPF or RFT. - Experience in forest planning and/or permitting is an asset. - Experience supervising field crews and mentoring junior field staff will be considered an asset. - Safe working practices. - Valid Class 5 driver's license. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $34-$40 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position comes with a benefits package and is eligible for our RRSP program.
